Ask a Digital Expert

Intergenerational
Learning

An Ask a Digital Expert session provides an excellent opportunity for intergenerational learning. College students are digital native experts in device use. Community group members receive one-on-one advice for their digital devices, and students gain confidence in their communication skills. All share many laughs and a fabulous community bonding experience.

Digital Expert Sessions

​Ask a Digital expert for one-on-one advice for your digital device. Are you a community group that would like this programme or a school looking to reach out? 

Expected outcomes;

- Community members gain confidence using their devices.

- Intergenerational-learning and bonding Students gain confidence in their communication skills

- Strengthen community relationships

Digital Waitaha will help establish the relationship between the community group and the local school(s) to provide Digital Experts.

Setup:

Provide a space for students and members to sit and chat.

Provide wifi - if this is unavailable, a student will likely have a hotspot and can help set it up.

Please print out the Activity Sheet QR code for students to use to provide details of their session.

During:

Students fill out the Activity Sheet describing the Questions and Advice they gave the community member. Both students and members fill out the Feedback form linked in.

After:
